It's like taking a little trip back in time when you enter the shop. The ‘retro’ interior is from New York in the thirthies.
Men not only come to this place to have a haircut and an Italian shave, they also find their moment of rest, having a good espresso or relaxing in one of the comfortable chairs with the smooth sounds of Cuban music or the sweet voice of Frank Sinatra.

A ‘gentleman’s day out’ starts at New York Barbershop, or what a journalist in a welknown Dutch newspaper once wrote; “A visit to NYB is more than visiting a hairdresser, it’s like a short vacation, nothing more and nothing less”.

I have shared this on google reader cause I know how my hubby loves his favorite barber. It's the same kind but not this nicely decorated. (He doesn't like hair salon.) It's far from our place but he must pay expressway toll to get to his place every month.
